After relocating to Arizona in 2000, Bob joined the staff at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott. He retired from Flagstaff Medical Center in Flagstaff, Arizona in 2021.
Bob loved military history and aviation, and was an avid firearms enthusiast who shared his interest by often taking his kids and grandkids out target shooting. He was a dedicated volunteer at the Pioneer Museum in Flagstaff and greatly enjoyed hiking the scenic trails of Central and Northern Arizona with his loyal dog, Lucy.

He was prec eded in death by his parents.
Bob's family will remember him always for his tireless commitment to caring for others, his brilliant mind, his generosity to anyone in need, his patience, kindness, and gentle nature. He met adversity with a smile and sense of humor, intent on protecting his family from the hardships of life. Bob also took immense pride in the accomplishments of his children and many grandchildren; his special relationship with his eldest grandchild, Malorie, was one of the chief joys of his life.
Cremation has taken place and, at Bob's request, a private memorial will be held.
