Robert Watrous

Robert A. Watrous, 63 of Bellaire, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital in Petoskey. He was born March 17, 1945 in Bellaire, the son of Earl and Bernice (Thomas) Watrous. Robert was a resident of Bellaire his entire life. He worked at Lamina Bronze for the last 17 years. Robert enjoyed hunting, working in his garage, riding his Harley motorcycle, reading westerns, playing poker and golfing. On June 2, 1973, in Bellaire, he married Bonnie E. Kleeman who survives. Also surviving are five children; Pamela (Gary) Hamminga of Three Rivers, Roberta Foles of Rapid City, James Watrous of Elk Rapids, Robert Watrous of Bellaire, Betsy (Joel) Peacock of Empire, 3 brothers; Dave (Edna) Watrous of Bellaire, Denny (Moira) Watrous of Florida, Ed (Patsy) Watrous of Bellaire, 2 sisters; Millie Lee of Bellaire and Shirley (Guy) DeWitt of Bellaire, five grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Carol Chonda. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 4 pm at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Rev. Janie Beasley officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until the time of service on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
