Robert "Bob" Lawrence Tomlinson, 51 of Eastport died Sunday, October 30, 2016 at home. He was born June 7, 1965 in Flint the son of James "Larry" and Marilyn (Peterson) Tomlinson. In 1992 Bob moved north to his family cottage on Torch Lake in Eastport. He loved boating, being in the water, and was fondly known in his younger years as "Anchor Bob". Bob was involved in video productions for over 25 years and worked for Brauer Productions in Traverse City. He was the editor for the movie "Escanaba in da Moonlight", and often recorded the voices of celebrities for many TV shows and movies. He enjoyed all aspects of working with video and was a lover of all music. Bob was a dedicated brother who was always putting others first and giving of himself. He was also a dedicated Red Wings fan. Surviving Bob are his siblings Jim Tomlinson, Mary Markham, and Sue (Steve) Goslee. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews who he dearly loved AJ Markham and his family, Jon, Lee, and Becca Markham, Laura and Sarah Tomlinson and extended family on the north end of Torch Lake. Preceding him in death were his parents Larry and Marilyn, nephew Bobby Markham III and brother in law Bob Markham Jr. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 5, at 1 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Gary Bekkering officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow the service in Lakeview Cemetery, Torch Lake Twp., Eastport.
