ROBERT ROBINSON

ROBERT W. ROBINSON, 59, of Mancelona, died on May 22, 2011. Robert was born on March 31, 1952 in Lansing, the son of Wayne and Lottie (Nance) Robinson. Robert was a Mancelona resident since 1987 and was a self employed truck driver and drove for various shipping companies in the area. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. On July 14, 2003 in Mancelona, he married Sarah J. Jahnke who survives. Also surviving are 4 children, Tina Robinson of Mesick, James Hardy of Mancelona, Micheal Robinson of Kalkaska, Brian Robinson of Mancelona and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of life will be held on June 11th, at 3 p.m. at the Riding Stables in Lakes of the North with a pig roast, petting zoo, and horse back riding. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are being handled by the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
