Robert Martin

Robert E. "Bob" Martin, 76, of Mancelona, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2010 at Munson Medical Center. Bob was born to the late James and Mildred (Mason) Martin on May 24, 1935 in Pontiac, Michigan. Bob resided in Mancelona for 12 years. He loved talking about politics and about his faith in Christ. He was an electrician for many years and attended Church in the Hills. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Jean (Sandeen) Martin. Also surviving are seven children, Mark (Deb) Sansone of Port Huron, Barry (Amy) Martin of Royal Oak, Charlene Woods of Waterford, Julie (Mike) Solon of Waterford, Brian Martin of Pontiac, Beth Ann (Greg) Singler of Cincinnati, OH., and Bonnie (Glen) Miller of Troy; seven grandchildren, Rob, Brittany, Lachan, Niall, Isabelle, Carly and Becky; four sisters, Carol Axe of Clearwater, FL., Doris Austin of Lady lake, FL., Betty Ewald of Augusta, KA., and Marilyn Libby of Metamora. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Robert E. "Bobby" Martin, and two brothers Gerald and Donald Martin. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Yousef "Yogi" Jabara officiating.
