Robert Duane Larner, 61, led a beautiful life and crossed over to live eternity with his Lord on September 14th, 2016. Bob was born on November 28th, 1954 to William and Virginia Larner and grew up in Okemos, MI. Throughout his life Bob had many loves but most of all his wife Linda. He enjoyed music, playing guitar, singing, and leading his band, Clearwater. He enjoyed racing cars, playing cards, following politics and spending time with his family. Bob came from a very large family with 5 brothers and 7 sisters in a three bedroom house. Bob is survived by his wife Linda Larner, his children Cory (Wendy) Larner, Joe (Katie) Larner, JD (Karie) Larner, Nadine Fisher (Jerry Fuller), Leticia (Chad) Niedzielski, Adiel (Dave) Frantzman, and Terrance (Amanda) Robke, and 11 grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Virginia Larner, and siblings, Gary Larner, Bill (Mary Jane) Larner, Karen Wallace, Steve Larner, Lorraine Piper, Brian (Angela) Larner, Susan Holley, Laura Larner, Lisa Raatz, Tom Larner, and Patti (Keith) Engelhardt, sister in law Lettie Davenport, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his father William Larner and sister Sharron. A celebration of Bob's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 18th, 2016 at The First Congregational Church 8066 W State St Central Lake, MI 49622. A luncheon will follow at the church. Additionally, a memorial service will also be held at 5:00 pm on Saturday, September 24th, 2016 at the Mouth Hope Presbyterian Church 301 W Jolly Rd Lansing, MI 48911. Contributions can be made directly to Linda Larner or Mortensen Funeral Homes in Central Lake to help cover the costs associated with the funeral.
