Robert Kucharek

Robert “Bob” Kucharek, 84, of Central Lake, passed away on October 25, 2017 at home.

Bob was born on April 10, 1933 in Gaylord to the late Charles and Mary Kucharek. Bob was raised in Gaylord and spent most of his life there as well as in Central Lake. Bob retired from Cooper-Standard Automotive in 1992. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, playing cards and board games. He was the biggest supporter of his family with their many activities.

Bob is survived by his children, Mark (Diane) Kucharek and Mary Ellen (Bill) Hart all of Central Lake, 5 grandchildren, Jessica (Tom) Parker, Elizabeth (Rusty) Miller, Jenny Hart, Jonathan Hart and Abigail Hart and 9 great grandchildren.

On January 29, 1955 he married Karen J. Petrie who preceded him in death on March 25, 1997. He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Louie Koharic, Ed Kucharek, John Kucharek, Bill Kucharek and Virginia Sewell.

Visitation will take place on Friday, October 27 from 6-8 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.  Memorial services will be on Saturday, October 28 at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home with visitation from 10 a.m. until time of services.
