Robert E. Knott (November 7, 1940 - January 19, 2016)

Robert E. Knott, age 75, of Bellaire passed away on January 19, 2016. Bob was born on November 7, 1940 to the late Robert A. and Hilda M. (Alexander) Knott in Flint. Bob was a Past Master of the Bellaire Masonic Lodge #398 and was also a member of Saladin Temple, Northwest Shrine Club, Scottish Rite and Order of the Eastern Star, Waldo Chapter # 180. He retired from Buick Motors in Flint where he worked as an engineer and then he owned and operated Torch Light Resort for many years with his wife Glenda.

Bob is survived by his wife of 52 years, Glenda Knott of Bellaire, children, Christy (Mark) LaVene of Bellaire, Julie Beck of Davisburg, grandchildren Leah Knott and Emily Beck. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Oran Eugene Watts.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at the Bellaire Masonic Lodge, 4905 Stover Rd, Bellaire. Additional parking and shuttle service will be available at the Kearney Township Hall (4820 Aero Park Dr., Bellaire). Immediately following the service, a fellowship dinner will take place at the Kearney Township Hall.
