Robert D. Kleeman, 58, of Mancelona, Michigan passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family. Bob was born on September 11, 1951 in Bellaire, Michigan, the son of the late Norval and Elizabeth Kleeman. Bob worked for Moeke Lumber in Mancelona for over 40 years. He was a member of the Little River Tribe in Manistee. Bob enjoyed playing his guitar and singing, loved his coffee and spending time with friends. Most of all, his pride and joy was his family. On August 12, 1983 Bob married Vickie (LaVanway) Kleeman who survives. Also surviving are 3 children, Robert Kleeman, Becky (Mike) Jensen, and Tanya (Tim) Krueger all of Mancelona, Michigan; siblings, Rose Shine of Edmore, MI., Betty VanPatten of Bellaire, Mary Lou (Andy) Zelanak of Central Lake, Kenny (Dee) Kleeman of Bellaire, Bonnie Watrous of Bellaire, Linda (George) Coon of Mancelona, Norval Kleeman of Mancelona, 5 grandchildren Damian, Kymberlynn, Bobby, Joselyn and Vanessa, mother-in-law Fern Smith of Mancelona, 2 sisters-in-law, Debbie Schram, Donna (Rich) Rousseau and a brother-in-law Rick Aldrich all of Mancelona. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers Lonnie, Sonny and Jim Kleeman as well as his parents Norval and Elizabeth (DeVerney) Kleeman, 2 fathers-in-law, Don LaVanway and Ray Smith as well as a brother-in-law, Randy Aldrich. Funeral services will take place at the Mancelona Chapel of the Mortensen Funeral Homes on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at 11:00 a.m with Rev. Sam McClellan officiating. Visitation will take place on Tuesday from noon to 3:00 p.m. and 4-8 p.m. also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
