Robert "George or Bob" Stradinger II, age 71, of Columbiaville died suddenly at home, September 1, 2016.
Bob was born May 4, 1945 in Mancelona, Michigan to the late Robert Stradinger and Christine Cochran. He later married Deborah Kay Stephenson on February 26, 1972.
Bob served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy, and was a member of the American Legion Post # 264 and St. Anthony Catholic Church in Mancelona. He served on the Deerfield Township Fire Department, and retired from General Motors as a Millwright. Bob enjoyed golfing, camping, and was known as a jack of all trades. If you needed something, he was there to help, but most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his wife Deborah, Children: Melissa (Doug) Rogers, Timothy (Beth) Stradinger, Brother: Bill (Lola) Stradinger, and grandchildren: Joshua, Caitlyn, Ryan, Tiffany, Jackson, and Delaney. He was preceded in death by is parents, brother Jacob, and step-mom Ilene.
Friends may visit with the family 3:00-5:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville, and 5:00-9:00 PM on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Mortensen Funeral Home in Mancelona. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 8, 2016 in Mancelona.
Memorial contributions in memory of Bob may be made to the Michigan State Fire Association.
