Robert Flucht

Robert P. Flucht, 79, of Central Lake, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011. Bob was born on April 28, 1931 in Highland Park, Michigan, the son of Joseph and Grace Flucht.

Bob resided in Dearborn Heights, Michigan for many years and worked as a Refrigeration Mechanic at Thorn Apple Valley in Detroit. He and his wife, Sherry moved to Central Lake in 1994 and worked for the Antrim County Sheriff's Departments for 15 years as the Zero tolerance officer.

On December 21, 1981 in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, he married Sherry Lou Flucht. Also surviving are five children, Diane (Carl) Remmert of Ann Arbor, MI., Richard (Diane) Flucht of Rochester Hills, MI., Christine (James) Sheldon of Dearborn, MI., and Jeffrey Maveal of Milwaukee, WI; eight grandchildren; one brother, Darwin (Carol) Flucht of Taylor, MI; and several nieces, nephews and his beloved cats.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, February 18th at 11:00 a.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday also at the funeral home.
