Robert Eggers

On Monday, July 29, Robert James Eggers, of Echo Township, passed away at his home surrounded by family. He was a father, grandfather, brother, son, friend, music lover and hockey enthusiast that never wanted to be a “Beast of Burden” to anyone. He showed up for his family. From concerts to wrestling matches to performances on stage, we could always count on him being present. He loved life and lived it to its fullest.

After battling cancer for 14 months, he met his maker listening to the music he loved. He is no longer suffering.

Bob left this earth exactly the way he wanted, at home, looking out at the lake with zero fanfare. He did not desire anything else so there will be no services. However, if you feel moved to do something in his memory, he was a big supporter of animals and would welcome you to donate to his favorite local shelter: Help From My Friends’ Pet Crisis Center. 3605 S Derenzy. Bellaire, Mi 49615. He would also appreciate you celebrating with some Rolling Stones music while discussing fond memories. 

He cared about people.
