ROBERT G. BOCK, 82, of Alba, passed away on September 5, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family. Bob was born on July 14, 1928 in Chicago, IL., the son of Steve and Marion (Ballard) Bock. Bob was a longtime resident of Alba where he owned and operated Alba Tool and Die for many years. He was a member of the Alba United Methodist church, enjoyed music, especially playing the dobro and piano, as well as fishing, camping and gardening. On April 11, 1953 in East Jordan, he married Margaret Olds who survives. Also surviving are 4 children, Cynthia (Gordon) Larson of Kalkaska, William (Jan) bock of Bellaire, Kathy (Charles) Blasko of Elmira, Steve (Jami) Bock of Alba, 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Joyce Tomoski of Florida, Jean Buyze of Oregon and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Richard Eric Bock, a grandson Brian Bock, granddaughter Lisa Bock, a brother William Bock and a sister Margaret Regits. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Interment will follow in Star Township Cemetery, Alba.
