Robert Balliet

Robert "Bobby" Balliet, 49, of Mancelona, passed away on July 11, 2014 at his home.

Bobby was born on May 25, 1965, in Petoskey the son of Jim and Dorothy (Spencley) Balliet.

Bobby served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 10 years and was in Desert Storm in the early 90's. He was an avid NASCAR Fan, was employed by DE-STA-CO in Charlevoix for several years.

He loved spending time with his dog "Baby"

He is survived by his parents, Jim and Dorothy Balliet of Royal, AR, 4 siblings, Shelley (Ron Breseman) Balliet of Petoskey, William "Bill" Balliet of Petoskey, Linda (Kevin Volz) Balliet of Carp Lake, Jean (Randy Rose) Faskey of Alanson, several nieces and nephews, Charlie (Kaelynn) Daniels of Petoskey, Deon Daniels of Grand Rapids, Elizabeth (Roy) Balliet of Petoskey, Corbin (Ann) Balliet of Alanson, Maggie Griffes of Boyne Falls, and his beloved dog "Baby".

Services will take place on Monday, August 4 at 6:00 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the time of services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association.
