Richard Arthur Liverance, 72 of Bellaire, passed away Saturday, Feb. 24th, 2018 at his home with his loving family surrounding him.
Dick was born on July 28th, 1945, growing up in Williamston, MI with his parents, Alan and Olive, and older brother, Doug.
Dick married the love of his life, Kathy on September 10th, 1983. Dick is the proud and loving father of Alex, Kyle and Kara. The most important thing in Dick’s life, was his family, whom he cherished so very much. He was a true friend and gentleman to all he came in contact with.
Dick served his country with dedication from 1965-1969, as an Air Traffic Controller, in the U.S. Air Force. After living in Williamston, Dick and family moved to Camden, MI and there he owned “Down-Home Barbershop”. In 1995 Dick and his family moved to Bellaire, MI where he was employed at Shanty Creek Resort.
Dick was preceded in death by his father, Alan Liverance, his mother, Olive Liverance-Weigandt, and brother Doug (Danya) Liverance.
Dick is survived by his wife, Kathy (Miller), of 35 years, his children, Alex (Nicole), Kyle (Kim), and Kara. Four adorable grandchildren, Kaylynn, Noah, Kohen, and Avery. Dick was a phenomenal uncle, brother-in-law, son-in-law, and friend to so very many. He will be desperately missed.
Dick was an avid reader, life-long learner, nature lover, gardener, and sport’s enthusiast. As a dedicated M.S.U. fan, GO GREEN! – GO WHITE!
