Richard Steadley

Richard D Steadley, 90, of Bellaire, died peacefully, surrounded by his daughters, November 15, 2019 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.

He was born October 9, 1929 in Stockholm, Sweden the son of John and Ann Marie (Dalton) Steadley.

On May 27, 1950, he married Patricia Bloss who preceded him in death.  Richard was a production engineer and worked at GM in Tecumseh, Michigan.   Upon retirement, he and Patricia moved to Lake Bellaire and enjoyed the many offerings of northern Michigan.  Richard was an avid hunter and enjoyed playing golf, watching sports and working on his family farm.

Surviving are his 5 daughters, Linda (Robert) Schwarb, Sandra (Tom) O’Hara, Cynthia (Paul) Burns, Pamela (Gene) Stockton, Debra (Lloyd) Miller, 10 grandchildren Randall (Nichole) Schwarb, Ryan (Molly) Schwarb, Robert (Chelsea) Schwarb, Erin (David) Spirl, Tommy O’Hara, Maureen (Evan) Leitch, Caitlin (Jake) Kohn, Laura Burns, Brian (Nicole) Burns, Natalie Miller, and 12 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Patricia (2018), and sister, Evelyn Krupp.

Private family services will be held and interment will take place in Lakeview Cemetery, Bellaire.
