Richard Greiser

Richard V. Greiser, 83, of Bellaire, passed away on December 31, 2014 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility. Dick was born on February 19, 1931, in Toledo, OH, the son of Virgil and Florence (Pohlman) Greiser. Dick was a longtime resident of Toledo, OH where he was employed by Graybar Electric for 35 years. He was an active member of the Park Congregational Church in Toledo and was past President of the South Toledo Kuwanis Club. Upon moving to Bellaire permanently in 2003, following many years of summering here, he became an active member of the First Congregational Church in Central Lake. He enjoyed fishing and served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. On April 6, 1955, in Toledo, he married, Harriet Covode who survives. Also surviving are two children, Barbara (Eric) Errickson of Roseville, MI, Robert (Linda) Greiser of Waterford, MI, three grandsons, Daniel Errickson, and Tim and Joe Greiser. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will take place Saturday, January 17, at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church in Central Lake, with Pastor Gary Bekkering will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10 am. until the time of service. Burial will take place in Lakeview Cemetery, Bellaire, in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church in Central Lake or to the Park Congregational Church in Toledo.
