Rhea L. Wilkie, much loved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, of Traverse City, passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, April 14, 2009. Rhea was born August 4, 1943, in Bellaire, to the late Floyd and Lucile (Olds) Gregory. She is survived by her four children, all of Traverse City-Rick, Brad (Danielle) and Terry (Laurie) Patton, and a daughter, Shelly Julin, as well as the children's father Russ Patton of Traverse City, five grandchildren, Ryan, Taylor, Autum, Alexia, and Terra, and one great grandson, Jadyn. Rhea is also survived by five sisters and two brothers, all of Bellaire-Gwen (Claude) St.Cyr, Phyllis (Tank) Turner, Marilyn White, Donna (Fred) Galster, twin sister Retha (Russ) Smith, Arden (Mary), and LeRoy Gregory and Sharon Nicholas, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rhea was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Lucile, and a sister, Emogean Conley. Rhea was employed at Glen's Market, Chums Corner, Traverse City, in the Deli for a number of years. Funeral arrangements were handled by Mortensen Funeral Home, Bellaire. A graveside service will take place on May 10 at 2 p.m. in Bellaire's Lakeview Cemetery.
