Ralph W. "Tank" Turner, 84 of Bellaire, died Fri. Oct. 17, 2014 at home. He was born July 15, 1930 in Flint the son of Percy and Ruth (Openo) Turner. Tank proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. Once discharged, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree from MSU, graduating in 1967. He went on to work for and retired from the GM Flint Assembly Plant. Tank was an avid basketball fan and enjoyed square dancing and clogging. On Oct. 10, 1951 in Frankfort, he married Phyllis Gregory who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sister Joan Millard and his parents. Tank is survived by his children Gary (Tomilu) Turner of Grand Blanc, and Luanne (James) Most of Davison. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. No services are planned at this time. Memorial contributions can be made the Bellaire Varsity Basketball teams, c/o Bellaire High School (BHS), 204 W. Forest Home Ave., Bellaire, MI 49615.
