Ralph Saldana Sr

RALPH SALDANA Sr., 77, of Mancelona, died on February 29, 2008 at his home. Ralph was born on December 17, 1930 in Driscoll, Texas the son of Juan and Lauriana (Flores) Saldana. Ralph resided in Mancelona since 2000 and was best described as an adventurous man who enjoyed mechanical work, carpentry, horseback riding and shooting pistols. On June 19, 1954 in Mt. Pleasant, MI., he married Julia Jimenez who survives. Also surviving are four children, Michael (Cynthia) Saldana of Gaylord, Jhonny (Marie) Saldana of Warner Robins, GA., Anna (Richard) Stump of Brighton, Ralph Saldana Jr., of Mancelona, a brother Juan (Sara) Saldana of Corpus Christi, TX., a sister Albesa Saldana also of Corpus Christi, TX., 7 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Roberto, Santos, and Tony and 2 sisters, Enriqueta and Eva. Funeral services will take place on Mon., March 3, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Visitation will take place from 2:00 p.m. until time of services.
