RALPH KOUTNIK, 86, of Bellaire, died on June 24, 2010 at Meadow Brook Medical Care facility. Ralph was born on January 31, 1924 in Chicago, IL., the son of Jerry Sr. and Mary (Janacek) Koutnik. Ralph moved to Bellaire from Chicago when he got out of the service in 1946. He was employed at Lamina Bronze in Bellaire for many years before retiring in 1983. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and enjoyed steam trains, polka music, ethnic music, played the accordian, was a pen pal with czech's. On March 25, 1948 in South Bend, IN., he married Barbara Koutnik who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, William and Jerry Jr. Koutnik. Surviving are a son David (Stella) Koutnik of Ann Arbor, a brother Arthur (Roberta) Koutnik of Bellaire, a sister Irene (Charles) Tyrakowski of Hickory Hills, IL., and 11 nieces and nephews. No services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made to Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility, 4543 S. M-88 Highway, Bellaire, MI., 49615.
