Ralph F. Berry, aged 78 of Bellaire, MI, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2018 at Munson Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 26, 1939 in Wyandotte, MI, the son of Ralph and Amanda (Aho) Berry. He entered the United States Marines Corps at the age of 17, proudly serving his country in the U.S. and abroad. Ralph retired from Ford Motor Company in 1991 after a career of 30 years. After retirement, Ralph enjoyed volunteering as a historical interpreter at Greenfield Village in Dearborn, MI and was also a DJ for WNMC Jazz radio station in Traverse City. He was a lover of animals, his church and the woods of Northern Michigan.
On October 7, 1967 he married his beloved, Dorothy Jean Parker who survives him. Also surviving are his children Jennifer (Eric) Hamill of Shohola, PA, John (Ilyana) Berry of Miami, FL, grandchildren Parker, Nash, Henry, Jude, and brother Mike (Dianne) Berry of Troy. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings Muriel, Patsy, and Ethel.
Funeral services will be held 11am May 7th at Church of the Hills in Bellaire officiated by Pastor Dave Ramage. Interment with military honors will follow in Eldred Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given by check payable to the Ralph F. Berry Memorial Fund, c/o GPCF, P.O. Box 992, Milford PA 18337.
