Phyllis Fries

PHYLLIS "CANTRELL" FRIES, 61, of Mancelona, died on October 31, 2011 at her home. Phyllis was born on January 16, 1950 in Mancelona, the daughter of Alvah and Electa (Henderson) Cantrell. Phyllis was a Mancelona resident her whole life and enjoyed bowling, singing karaoke, as well as being a worldwide communicator on face book. On August 18, 1973, in Mancelona, she married Kris H. Fries who survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Molly (Michael) Weston of Fife Lake, Kristi (Robert Lopez) Fries of Kalkaska, 2 grand daughters, Terri and Chelsey Rogers of Fife Lake, 5 brothers, Gary (Mary) Cantrell of Mancelona, Junior (Ila) Cantrell of Mancelona, Bill (Debbie) Cantrell of Gaylord, Wayne (Jan) Cantrell of Kalkaska, Richard (Anna May) Cantrell of Mancelona and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Violet Knoch and a brother Ron Cantrell. Funeral services will take place on Friday, November 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes, Yousef "Yogi" Jabara will officiate. Visitation will take place from noon until the time of services. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona.
