Paul A. Sobleski, 53, of Charlevoix, passed away on June 15, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Paul was born on January 28, 1964 in Petoskey, the son of Raymond and Betty (Hadix) Sobleski.
Paul was employed by DTE Energy as a technician for 17 years. He loved his job and made many friendships through work over the years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and morel mushroom hunting.
He was a movie buff and would often be found watching storms come across Lake Michigan.
He truly was one of the toughest, compassionate, and caring guys out there. Words can’t describe how incredible he was.
On December 4, 1992, in Charlevoix, he married Vikki Somerville who survives. Also surviving are two children, Trevor Sobleski, Autumn Sobleski both of Charlevoix, four brothers, Wayne (Angie) Sobleski of Boyne City, Pete Sobleski of Boyne City, Matt (Callie) Sobleski of Montana, Jeff (Kris) Sobleski of Kentucky, four sisters, Linda (John) Kujawski of Boyne Sity, Cathy (Tom) Farrell of Boyne City, Sue Loper of Grayling, Eva (Brian) Russell of Marquette and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Raymond Jr., Michael, and a niece Melisa Sobleski Hickerty.
A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, June 20 at 1:00 p.m. at the Winchester Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
