Paul Kresnak

Paul J. Kresnak, 92, of Mancelona, passed away September 25, 2011, at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility. He was born on July 1, 1919, in Mancelona, MI, the son of Michael and Mary Kresnak. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and then worked as a builder for many years. He was a lifelong member at St. Anthony Catholic Church. He loved gardening, fishing and hunting. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Thelma (Nothstine) Kresnak; three children, Hilda (Thomas) Standley of Houston, TX, Martha (Gerald) Richardson of Green Cove Springs, FL, and Steven (Deb) Kresnak of Mancelona, MI; two sisters, Margaret Puroll of Gladwin, MI, and Rose Bellanger of Bellaire, MI; four grandchildren, James and Robert Kresnak and Paul and Anna Standley; and one great-grandson, August Kresnak. He will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 29, 2011, at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Mancelona, with Fr. Dale Magoon officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2011, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
