Patrick Allen Phelan

Patrick A. Phelan,  60, of Rapid River Township, Kalkaska County, passed away on March 3, 2022 at his home.

   He was born on August 14, 1961, in Dearborn, MI, the son of Douglas and Shirley (Carroll) Phelan.

   Patrick worked in maintenance for many years for the Elk Rapids Public Schools as well as Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City.

   He was passionate about literature, was a "tinkerer",   loved to volunteer for just about anything and walking his dog.

   On October 2, 1982, in Kalkaska, MI, he married Pamela Jean Troyer who survives.   Also surviving are 2 children, Jennifer Ann (Dan) Cramer of Acme, MI, Felicia Renee Phelan of Mancelona, 4 grandchildren, Sienna, Dawson, Tucker and Emma Cramer, his mother Shirley Phelan of Kalkaska, 2 brothers, Charles Phelan (Mary McFarland) of AZ, Michael (Ellen) Phelan of NC, and a sister Carrole (Paul) Bugh of South Boardman.

   Preceding him in death was his father Douglas Phelan.

   A memorial service will be held Monday, April 18th at 11 a.m. at the Kalkaska Church of Christ with a luncheon to follow.
