Patricia "Pat" Mendygral

Patricia (Pat) Mendygral, age 97, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2019 in Traverse City, Michigan. Pat was the wife of the late Stanley, who was the love of her life. Together, they resided at Rush Lake in Pinckney, Michigan for over fifty years. In 2014, Pat moved to the Village at Bay Ridge in Traverse City where she enjoyed the many activities that the retirement community offered. Due to declining health, in 2017 she moved into Bay Ridge Assisted Living until her passing.

She will be remembered for her big heart and willingness to help others. As an avid gardener, Pat always had a beautiful flower garden, in which she took great pride. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to thank the staff at Bay Ridge Assisted Living Center and Hospice of Michigan for the never ending care and comfort that was given to Pat. They are an amazing team of professionals for which the family will forever be grateful.

Pat was the loving mother of Joyce Haberkorn of Pinckney and Doreen McGuire (Richard) of Bellaire, Michigan. The cherished Granny of John Jr., Matthew, Adam, Jennifer, and Shelly. The adored Great Granny of John III, Annabelle, Hannah, Ben, Reagan, Reilly, Will, and Beckham.

A Celebration Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Pinckney on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 11 am with Father Dan Kogut, as celebrant. Family will receive guests at the Church beginning at 10:30 am. Internment, Michigan Memorial Cemetery Flat Rock, MI.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in honor of Pat to Hospice of Michigan, 989 Spaulding SE, Ada, MI 49301, Mass intentions to St. Mary’s of Pinckney, 10601 Dexter- Pinckney Road, Pinckney, MI 48169, or Holy Rosary Catholic Church/Legion of Mary 6982 S.Schomberg Road, Cedar, MI. 49621 (this volunteer group provides weekly Rosary for the assisted living residents) will be appreciated.
