Norman Cool

Norman G. Cool,  76, of Mancelona, passed away on May 3, 2018 at his home.

Norm was born on June 9, 1941, the son of Harold and Lillian (Harris) Cool.

Norm is a longtime resident of Mancelona and was a member of the Antrim Church of Christ.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He liked outdoor activities as well as spending time with his dogs and hunting.

He is survived by 7 children, Norman Cool of Petoskey, Betty Wilson of Petoskey, Daniel Cool of Traverse City, Chris Cool of Mancelona, Christina (Randy) Matlock of Mancelona, Mike (Kristine) Cool of Bellaire, Michelle Cool (Thomas Poley) of Mancelona, 2 brothers, Roy (Bonnie) Cool of Boyne City, Dave Smith of Bellaire, 2 sisters, Arbutus Stevens of East Jordan, Kathy Kennada of Afton, 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Brenda, of 29 years, in 2006, a brother Daniel Cool, sister Joyce Smith as well as his parents.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Antrim Church of Christ with Pastor Mark McCool officiating.

Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona.

Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. just prior to services at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Antrim Church of Christ.

Arrangements are being handled by the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
