Nita Martell

NITA L. MARTELL, 56, of Toledo, OH., formerly of Mancelona, died on Sat., August 1, 2009 in Mancelona.

Nita was born on February 28, 1953 in Wayne, Michigan the daughter of Albert and Waneta (Brand) Rondeau.

Nita was a 1972 graduate of Alpena High School and then went on to attend Alpena Community College for 2 years.

Nita resided in Mancelona for 20 years where she was a member of the Mancelona Moose Lodge and was employed for the Department of Social Services in Bellaire.

Nita is survived by two children, Heather (Michael) Larde , of Toledo, OH., Fred Martell both of Boulder, CO., three grandchildren, Anthony A. Larde, Brittany S. Larde and Autumn L. Larde all of Toledo.

Also surviving are three sisters, Janice (Gary) Hill of Cedar Springs, Sharon (Donald) Grocholski of Kawkawlin, Jacki Riley of Central Lake, three brothers, Jimmie (Renee) Rondeau of Cummins, MI., Douglas (Nancy) Rondeau of Warne, N.C., Ronald (Joyce) Taylor of Phoenix, AZ. As well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Wayne, Dennis, Jerry and Don Rondeau, and two sisters, Mary Rondeau and Deborah Vidalier.

Funeral services will take place on Wed., Aug., 5, 2009 at Eleven a.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Visitation will take place on Tues., from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. also at the funeral home.

Graveside services will take place on Wed., Aug. 5 at Three p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Alpena. Memorial contributions may be made to Fibromyalgia Association of Michigan, PO BOX 1876, Royal Oak, MI 48068 or Lupus Foundation of America 1800 N. Blanchard St. Suite 102, Findlay, OH, 45840. Arrangements are being handled by the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
