Neta Loonsfoot

Neta Loonsfoot, 92, of Bellaire, formerly of St. Johns, passed away on December 13, 2013 at the Eastport Village Care Home. Neta was born on October 8, 1921 in Grant Township, Michigan, the daughter of Rubin and Nettie (Standish) Parker. Neta was employed by Michigan State University for 40 years and enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling. She had been a Bellaire resident for the past 10 years following many years living in St. Johns. She is survived by 4 nieces, Mary Lou Ausborne of Farmington, Elaine (Ron) LaLone of Bellaire, Judy Williamson of Idaho, Janet Cousins of Holly, MI., 3 nephews, Larry (Nonia) Gooden of South Lyon, MI., Danny (Jean) Gooden of Farmington, Larry (Sue) Luxin of Tawas City as well as many great nieces and many great nephews. Graveside services will take place in the Eureka Cemetery, St. Johns in the spring of 2014 with date and time to be determined. Memorial contributions may be made to the Antrim County Commission on Aging, P.O. Box 614, Bellaire, MI., 49615. Arrangements are being handled by the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
