Nellie Johnson

Nellie Jane (Coblentz) Johnson died on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Charlevoix Area Hospital.

Nellie was born March 20, 1929, in Boyne City, Michigan, to Theodore Allen Coblentz and Della Lena Anderson Coblentz, the youngest of five children.

Nellie married Andrew C. Johnson on June 1, 1946, in Charlevoix, Michigan, and together they owned and operated Johnson Auto Parts on M-66 in Charlevoix for many years. Andrew and Nellie had no children but many nieces and nephews. Andrew preceded Nellie in death on February 7, 1995.

Nellie was also preceded in death by her four siblings and her parents. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, including nephew Barry (Shirley) Coblentz of Evergreen, Colorado, and niece Kay (Curtis) Merrifield of Charlevoix, Michigan.

At Nellies request there will be no service other than an interment service in the spring.
