Natalie Postmus, 90, of Ellsworth, died Thursday, November 23, 2017 in Charlevoix.
She was born in Mancelona, Michigan on July 22, 1927 to Lawrence Hugh and Carol Tracy (Green) Whiteford.
Natalie grew up in East Jordan. She worked as a telephone operator in East Jordan and Petoskey in her early years.
On July 3, 1958 she married Myron 'Mike' Postmus in East Jordan. They made their home on the Postmus family farm in Banks Township.
Natalie was a member of the Ellsworth Christian Reformed Church and a charter member of the Banks Township Historical Society. She enjoyed reading and word search puzzles.
Surviving are her husband Mike; children Irene (Paul) Hizelberger of Ellsworth, Mark (Susan) Postmus of Columbia, S.C., Tony Postmus of Ellsworth, Anna Postmus of Charlevoix, Jim (Katy) Postmus of Ellsworth; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother Larry Whiteford of Traverse City, Sisters Beth (Gary) Norton of Ludington and Diane Whiteford of Charlevoix. She was preceded in death by her sister Suzie Bennett, brother Jack Whiteford, brother-in-law Turk Bennett, sisters-in-law Greta and Eleanor Whiteford.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Hastings Funeral Home in Ellsworth.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the Ellsworth Christian Reformed Church with the Rev. Alex Snider officiating. Burial will be in Ellsworth Cemetery, Banks Township, MI.
