Nancy Oliverius

Nancy E. Oliverius, 86, of Central Lake, died Tues. Sept. 20, 2011 at the Grand Traverse Pavilions. She was born June 27, 1925, in Greenup County, KY, the daughter of Joseph and Sarah Anne (McDowell) Payton. Nancy worked for many years at Ward Baking Company in Detroit. Upon moving to Central Lake she started working as a matron at the Antrim County Sheriff's Department. Nancy retired from Texas Instruments. Nancy lived her life dedicated to her family. She was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church and was a long time bowler. She is survived by her son Robert F. (Sandra) Oliverius, a granddaughter Cheryl Oliverius all of Traverse City and many nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Ross Payton, Murvle Payton, John Payton, Charles Payton, Loney "Bud" Payton, Ila Tyrrell, Velma Windish, Wanda Aardema, and Martha Watson. Funeral services will be held Fri. Sept. 23, 2011 at 10 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, Bellaire with Fr. James Gardiner officiating. Interment will follow in Southern Cemetery, Central Lake. In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to St. Luke Catholic Church. Arrangements have been handled by the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
