Nancy Allison

Nancy Kay Allison age 68 lifelong resident of Charlevoix passed away on February 12, 2017 at her home.

Nancy was born on April 13, 1948, daughter of the late Albert and Neva (Webster) Smith.

Nancy worked at North Central Michigan College for 37 years as a controller in the accounting department and as the treasurer for the United Methodist Church. She served as Charlevoix Public School Board Member as well as at the Charlevoix Children's House. Nancy was the owner and operator of Curves in Charlevoix for five years. She was a volunteer at Charlevoix Elementary School helping read with children as well as the Kids Hope Program Organization. She enjoyed spending her free time golfing, boating, and spending time with her grandchildren.

On July 21, 1974 in Charlevoix Nancy married Clyde Allison who survives. She is also survived by her children, Jodi (Greg) Shepard and Traci (Christopher) Mailloux all of Charlevoix; grandchildren, Lauren Shepard, Kaylyn Mailloux and Madeleine Mailloux; sister, Ruth Ann (Howard) Campbell of Charlevoix; sister-in-law, Gail Baldridge of Charlevoix and mother-in-law, Phillis Allison of Charlevoix and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Dick Smith; sister-in-law, Bev Smith and father-in-law, Warren Allison.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. At Charlevoix United Methodist Church with Pastor Greg Culver officiating. The family will receive guests for visitation one hour prior to services.
