Myrna Thie Matthew

Myrna went to be with her Lord July 13, 2024. She was living in Bellaire Michigan at the Meadowbrook Medical Facility. 

Myrna was born July 17, 1935 in Cincinnati Ohio to Lydia and Carl Thie. Myrna attended Western Hills High School where she participated in sports and other various activities! After high school Myrna attended Michigan State University where she fell in love with Jack Matthew of Bellaire. They were married October 22, 1955. 

Myrna was a fiercely devoted wife and mother to her Three boys! 

She especially enjoyed Torch Lake, golfing, entertaining friends and family and baking her Famous chocolate chip cookies AND her fabulous cherry and apple pies! 

Myrna also enjoyed her Grandchildren and Great grandchildren who most affectionately knew her as GG. 

She was preceded in Death by her Husband Jack, her Son Jeff and granddaughter Kristen Matthew. 

She is survived by her Sons Jay (Barbie), Jim (Jill) and Grandchildren Jennifer (Seth) Crompton, TJ (Julie) Matthew, Emma (Matthew) Schuitema, Jeff and Henry Matthew. Great grandchildren Addie and Bree Glaser, Kendall and Kamden Matthew, Hudson and Weston Schuitema. 

A graveside service will be held July 27, 2024 at 11:00am at The Lakeview Cemetery, Eastport Michigan. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meadowbrook Medical Facility Foundation.
