Mildred T. Myszak (Waffle) 88, of Bellaire, passed away on July 7, 2017 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.
Mildred was born on April 18, 1929, in Cheboygan, MI, the daughter of Walter and Nancy (Kilmer) Sobleskey.
Mildred was a long time member of St. Luke Catholic Church and was active in the Altar Society and Baby Pantry. She was involved in the Senior Exercise Group and was a part time cook at the Antrim County Jail for several years.
She was employed by Cheboygan Community Hospital in food service and the Wash Basket in Central Lake in her later years.
She grew up on a dairy farm in Cheboygan, then later on in East Jordan.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren and had a way of putting everyone else before her.
She is survived by 5 children, Garry Waffle of Long Beach, CA, Marguerite (William) Ford of East Jordan, Debrah (Roger) Simon of Echo Twp., Donna (William) Johnson of Echo Twp., Dee Anna (Keith) Roark of Kearney Twp., many brothers, sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Garrett Waffle, second husband Paul Myszak, a son Eugene Waffle and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church with Fr. Chet Collins officiating.
Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until time of mass.
Burial will be at a later date in Southern Cemetery, Central Lake.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke Catholic Church.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
