Mildred Hood

Mildred Louise (Griffore) Hood, 83 a lifelong resident of Mancelona, died June 21, 2016 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.

She was born September 20, 1932 in Chestonia Township, the daughter of Clifford and Gladys (Goodwill) Underwood and graduated in 1950 from Alba High School. She spent 25 years working for United Technology in Boyne City.

Mildred loved to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, and watching the Detroit Tigers on TV.

Surviving are her sons Ken and Kevin Griffore, sisters Darlene Bartholomew and Judy (Dan) Malbouef, and brothers David Underwood and Clifford (Elaine) Underwood. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her son Gregory, and brothers John and Lewis Underwood.

Cremation has taken place and graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 28 at 1 pm in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona.
