Michele "Mickey" Perpich, 54 of Central Lake and formerly of Traverse City, died Monday, October 4, 2010 at home after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born May 20, 1956, in Holland, the daughter of Michael and Glenda(Plasman) Kiner. Mickey was an active member of the Resurrection Life Church in Traverse City where she donated her time to the mobile food pantry. She enjoyed gardening, painting and going to her cabin in the U.P. On April 18, 1999 in Lake Tahoe, NV she married Thomas Perpich who survives. Together they owned and operated Tom's Snap-On Tool Franchise and most recently Chain O'Lakes Auto Body in Bellaire. Also surviving is her daughter Renee Rothgarber of Mt. Pleasant, father Mike Kiner of Walhalla, stepson Michael Perpich of Traverse City, stepdaughter Kassia Perpich of Chicago, IL, 2 sisters Kathy (Don) Adams of Holland, and Lisa Kiner of Fennville. She was preceded in death by her mother Glenda Kiner and stepfather Gene Dykstra. A Memorial service with a party following will be held Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the Blue Pelican Room on Torch Lake Drive. Memorial donations may be directed to the Mobile Food Pantry, Resurrection Life Church, 4376 US 31S, Traverse City, Michigan 49685.
