Michael Pearson

Michael A. Pearson, 53, of East Jordan, formerly of Williamsburg and Traverse City, died Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Charlevoix Area Hospital.

He was born September 27, 1959 in Detroit to Edward and Catherine (Boike) Pearson.

On June 6, 1998, he married Laura Fraley in Riverview, Michigan. They lived in Traverse City, Oregon, and Williamsburg, moving to East Jordan in 2013.

Mike worked as a machinist at Lead Screws International in Traverse City. He enjoyed archery, hiking, playing outside with kids, watching sports, and dirt biking. He was a member of the East Jordan Community Church.

Surviving are his wife Laura; children Tieler, Mike Jr., Alyssa, Andrew, Nathan, Nicholas all at home; his father Edward (Jean) Pearson of Tampa Bay, FL; siblings Jim (Deb) Pearson of Sebring, FL, Bill (Deb) Pearson of Sebring, FL, Tom (Kathy) Pearson of Sebring, FL, Steve (Tracy) Pearson of Woodhaven, Dennis (Rita) Pearson of Flat Rock, Carol (Ted) Gilezan of Flat Rock. He was preceded in death by his mother Catherine Pearson on August 24, 1995.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, at Hastings Funeral Home in Ellsworth.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 8, at East Jordan Community Church, 301 Nichols St., East Jordan, with Pastor Jason Richey officiating.
Burial will be in Ellsworth Cemetery.
