Michael Milam

Michael Milam passed away on October 17, 2017 at his home in Mancelona after an extended illness.

Son of Helen and Ronald Milam, Mike grew up in Dearborn.  After graduating from high school he worked for 16 years as an equipment operator for Michcon.  In 1991 he became a certified nursing assistant and decided to continue his career and education by becoming a registered nurse.

Mike graduated from North Central Michigan College and worked at Meadow Brook Medical Care facility as an RN and supervisor until his retirement.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  His hobbies included fishing, hunting, woodworking, and camping.  Mike was a long standing member of the NRA.  He loved music and played bass guitar in the praise band at the Antrim Church of Christ.

Surviving Mike is his wife Sally Dalton Milan, sons Joshua and Justin (Carrie Milam), Lori Watson Harvey, Becky Watson Musall, and Timothy Watson.

A memorial service will be Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 1 pm at the Antrim Church of Christ with Pastor Mark McCool officiating.  Visitation will be from Noon until the time of service.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
