Michael W. Kovacs, 54, of Central Lake, passed away at his home on July 11, 2017.
Mike was born on November 17, 1962, in Lincoln Park, MI, the son of Robert and Barbara (Taylor) Kovacs.
Mike owned and operated the Bellaire Bar for the past 11 years. He was a social man who loved many outdoor activities such as golfing, hunting, and kayaking.
He is survived by two daughters, Jordan Kovacs (Ryan LaDouce) of Mancelona, Hannah Kovacs (Brian Buckley) of Monroe, N.Y., his mother Barbara Kovacs of Allen Park, MI, a brother Bobby (Alyssa) Kovacs, three sisters, Patty (Steve) Flum, Becky (Larry) Klepadlo, Theresa Kovacs, several nieces and nephews, his beloved granddaughter Kennedy LaDouce of Mancelona as well as the mother of their daughters, and long time friend Denese Degg.
He was preceded in death by a grandson Blake LaDouce, his father Robert Kovacs and several uncles.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 19 from 2-6 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with a celebration of life and memory sharing starting at 6 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Antrim County Animal Shelter or DIPG Research at the ChadTough Foundation, P.O. box 907, Saline, MI, 48176.
To those attending services Wednesday, please no perfumes or heavy colognes in the funeral home.
Arrangements are being handled by the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
