Michael Johnson

Michael N. Johnson, 71 of Charlevoix passed away on February 4, 2018 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital.

Michael was born on January 3, 1947 in Lansing to the late Gerald and Edith (Beebe) Johnson.

He worked for AT&T then Lucent Technologies for over 35 years and enjoyed spending his free time playing golf. Michael liked going south to Myrtle Beach in the winter for the past 20 years.

On November 27, 1965 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Charlevoix Michael married Rosemary Loder who survives. He is also survived by his sons, Michael N. (Victoria) Johnson II and Karl W. (Karen) Johnson both of Boyne City; brother, Gerald Johnson of Charlevoix; sisters, Hazel (Gary) Loder of Charlevoix, Judy Johnson of Charlevoix, Cindy (Steve) Johnecheck of Boyne City, Melody (Jerry) Marquardt of Charlevoix, Bonnie Johnson of Charlevoix; several grandchildren; 1 great grandchild on the way and many nieces and nephews.

A short memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Winchester Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Interment will take place in Spring 2018 at Undine Cemetery in Hayes Township. Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to Hospice of Little Traverse Bay, 416 Connable Ave, Petoskey, MI 49770.
