Maudie Streeter

Maudie M. Streeter, 73, of Charlevoix, passed away March 30th, 2019 at McLaren Hospital.

She was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church of Charlevoix.  She is one out of twelve children.  She and her husband were foster care parents for over 40 children.  She enjoyed spending her time watching the sunrise every morning and spending time with her friends Mary and Patrick Wilson.  Among other things she was an avid cook, gardener, and country music listener.  Anyone who knew her could vouch that she was a huge Michigan State Spartan and Chicago Bears fan.  She never missed a game when either played.

Born on Sept. 22nd, in 1945, in Deering, MO, she was the daughter of Emmet and Martha Young.  On Sept. 23, 1979, she married Lawrence E. Streeter.

She is survived by her two sons Donald and Joseph Streeter and her four stepchildren.  She is also survived by her daughter in law Rebecca Streeter and her four grandchildren Courtney, Megan, Trevor, and Adam Streeter. Her five sisters and two brothers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband who was a respected Air Force Veteran, and two sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Friday at Brookside Cemetery in Charleviox.  Father Odell will be officiating the service. Family and friends are welcome.
