Matthew Joseph Foster

Matt Foster, born on April 25, 1973, the son of Mary Mandigo Foster and the late Joe Foster, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2024, in Charlevoix, Michigan. 

 A proud alumni of Portage Central High School, Matt was celebrated for his athletic achievements, particularly in football and wrestling. He continued his education at Central Michigan University. 

 Dedicating over 20 years to Michigan Swim Pool, Matt established  his own successful venture, Foster Liners. 

Beyond his professional endeavors, Matt generously volunteered at the Kalamazoo Farmers Market on weekends. He had a passion for live music, especially the blues, and enjoyed skiing in northern Michigan during the winter months.  His generosity, one liners and infectious laugh will remain in our hearts. 

 Matt's memory will be cherished by his surviving sisters, Beth Hill (Jim) and Laura Foster, along with his nieces, Madison and Katie Hill. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who adored him. 

 A celebration of Matt's life will be scheduled for a future date.
