Mary Renee Shelson

Mary R. Shelson, 69 of Gaylord, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at home.  She was born August 27, 1954 on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the daughter of Robert and Margery (Parr) Shelson. 

For many years she delivered the newspaper in Gaylord and the surrounding areas.  Mary enjoyed working in her garden and also camping in her younger years.  

She is survived by her son Jay (Sarah) Reminder of Gaylord, twin sister Kay Hebert of Richmond, sister Brenda Shelson, sister Teri Hazen of Grayling, and grandchildren Makenzie (Matt) Simpson of Round HIll, VA, Max Lucas of Gaylord, and Mia (Justin Buckler) Reminder of Carrollton, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents and the father of her son, Carl Reminder. 

The family has chosen to celebrate her privately at this time.  Memorial contributions can be given to the Otsego County Animal Shelter.
