Mary Mosoryak 95 of Charlevoix, died Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Boulder Park. She was born February 2, 1922 in Detroit, the daughter of George and Mary (Pavlulinetz) Bereznay.
Mary loved her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and going to all their activities and events. She enjoyed sewing and made many costumes for her grandchildren. Mary was an active member of the Charlevoix Senior Center and St. Mary’s Catholic Church. For 15 years Mary owned Al-Ray Cottages in Ironton.
Surviving Mary are her daughters Marian (Christopher) DeNio, Catherine (Larry) Cross, Barbara (James) Hamilton, 9 grandchildren Nicki DeNio, Corey (Michelle Sulak) DeNio, Benjamin (Karlyn Hawkins) Cross, Timothy (Jacob Gunville) Cross, Charlie Hamilton, Maggie Hamilton, Matthew (Renee) Mosoryak, Michael (Channah Polis) Mosoryak, Jennifer (Aaron Jones) Mosoryak, 8 great grandchildren Mason, Sadie, Olivia, Anna, Leah, Braelyn, Claire, Chris, former daughter in law Leanna Mosoryak and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband John in 1982, her son John “Jay” in 2002, and siblings Anna, George, and Paul.
A rosary will be held Wednesday, December 27, at 11 a.m. at the Winchester Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, December 27, at 1 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Charlevoix with a visitation starting at Noon at the church. Interment will be the spring.
