MARY "IDABEL" ALEXANDER KRESNAK, 91, of Mancelona, died on December 14, 2009 at Tendercare of Gaylord. Mary was born on August 28, 1918 in Orleans, Michigan, the daughter of Wilfred and Vera (Adams) Sheldon. Mary was a lifelong resident of Mancelona and enjoyed reading, quilting, gardening, canning and traveling. She is survived by 5 children, Mary (Cliff) Scholl of Mancelona, Linda (Farrell) Thomas of Grayling, Art Alexander of Lynbrook, N.Y., David (Jodi) Alexander of Grand Rapids, Rick (Debbie) Alexander of Mancelona, 21 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Art Alexander, her second husband Michael Kresnak, a son Wilfred Alexander, a daughter Shirley Lucas and her parents. Funeral services will take place on Wed., Dec. 16, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Pastor Dean Landry will officiate. Visitation will take place from 2-4 p.m. Interment will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
