Born in Petoskey, MI to Lynn and Leila Stimpson, Mary Helen Krell, also known as Stephanie, passed away in Charlevoix, MI at the age of 95 years. During the war years, she was a Michigan Bell Telephone operator. Mary was a long time volunteer at a Charlevoix Area Hospital gift shop. Our Mary was sought after as a skilled Bridge partner, and earned quite a reputation as a vicious card player. She enjoyed her time in the kitchen, entertaining her many friends and acquaintances. She was a member of her local Dinner Club which brought her great joy. Ever ready with the perfectly shaken Martini. Married to Frederick Wilhelm Krell, who was the program director for WSTW Radio Station in Saginaw, MI. They made their home in Charlevoix, Michigan. Preceded in death by her father Lynn Stimpson, her mother Leila Stimpson and her husband, Frederick Krell. Mary is survived by her son, Stephen Lynn Krell (Kim), her daughter Meredith Rae Krell-Toorman (Steven), grandson Alexander Haven Krell (Tawny) and great-grandson Vincent Alexander Krell. The Krell Family deeply mourns her passing. She is and always will be dearly missed. As per Mary’s wishes, there will be no services or memorial.
