Mary Hamilton

Mary Ann Hamilton,  93, of Charlevoix, passed away on March 20, 2020 at Munson Health Care, Charlevoix Hospital.

Mary Ann was born on August 29, 1926 in Ionia, MI, the daughter of Alger and Florence (Holcomb) Dean.

Mary Ann worked for Bell Telephone and Hoskins Manufacturing for many years.  She was a long time Charlevoix resident where she was a member of the Community Church of God.

She enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by two children, Linda (Bill) Purdy of Charlevoix, Larry (Shawn) Hamilton, 4 grandchildren, Christopher Demanaeus, Jonathan (Melissa) Purdy, Katherine (Ben) Henley, Steven Hamilton, and 6 great-grandchildren, Westley Purdy, Akira Purdy, Jaidyn Brooks, Jasmine Brooks, Quinn Henley and Ciara Demanaeus.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harvey Hamilton, two brothers and her parents.

Funeral Services Tuesday March 24th, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Community Church of God in Charlevoix.  Pastor Neil Turner will officiate.

Visitation will take place Tuesday from 1 p.m. until time of services at the church.

Burial will take place in Barnard Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Church of God, 202 W Hurlbut St., Charlevoix, MI 49720.

Arrangements are being handled by the Charlevoix Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
