MARY H. CORBIN, 88, of Sumner, MI., formerly of Mancelona, passed away on May 23, 2013 at the Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant. Mary was born on March 4, 1925, in Detroit, the daughter of Samuel and Irene (Cummings) St. Pierre. Mary was a resident of Sumner for the past 12 years and previously lived in Mancelona and Alba. She was a member of the VFW Post in Sheridan as well as the Cornerstone Church in Vestaburg and enjoyed computers, crocheting, sewing, traveling, shopping, baking, bingo and most of all, her family. On February 23, 1946, in Roseville, MI. she married David Corbin who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were a son Daniel Corbin, 3 brothers Ray, William and Frank St. Pierre and her parents. Surviving are 5 children, David Corbin of Mancelona, Kathleen (Mel) Kitchen of Mancelona, Mary Bush of Alma, JayDee Corbin of Scott Depot, WV., Carrie (Thomas) Fredrick of Sumner, 2 brothers, James (Jenny) St. Pierre of New York, Robert (Anne) St. Pierre of Macomb, MI., a sister Margaret Lanning of South Lyon, MI., many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews as well as 2 sisters-in-law Jackie and Marilyn St. Pierre. Funeral services will take place on Sat., May 25 at Noon at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
